Local Community Contribution Activities |
The Hiroshima Works provides outreach classes for elementary and junior high schools in the city of Kure where the Kure, Kuwabata, and Nagatani Plants are in operation.
DISCO aims to contribute to the local community in a DISCO-like manner. Employees visit elementary and junior high schools and conduct classes on three areas in which DISCO is actively involved: Kiru, Kezuru and Migaku, Health and safety issues, and environmental problems in everyday life. |

Participation in Forest Improvement and Maintenance Activities |
The Hiroshima Works participates in the Hiroshima Forestation Forum as part of its efforts to ensure that the forests of Hiroshima are passed on to the following generations.
As a part of the forestation activities in which DISCO employees and their family members participate, DISCO's Forest was created in collaboration with Kure City in 2010. After mowing, improvement cutting, and pruning, 130 seedlings were planted and birdhouses installed. DISCO is contributing to the development of rich forest resources through these activities. |
